handle is hein.sag/sagtn0108 and id is 1 raw text is: OPINIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TENNESSEE Putlished by Authority of Chapter 276 Public Acts of 1971 February 1991 91-17 BONDS/NOTES: Municipal: A town or municipality that has issued bonds payable in whole or in part from its sewer revenues may avail itself of T.C.A. 57-35-201 even if the bonds are retired in the near future and no additional bonds payable for sewer revenues remain outstanding; a town or municipality intending to issue bonds payable from revenues derived from its out of town sewer expansion may not avail itself of T.C.A. 57-35-201 until the town or municipality issues bonds payable in whole or in part from its sewer revenues; a town or municipality that has never issued bonds payable in whole or in part from its sewer revenues may riot avail itself of T.C.A. S7-35-201; the question of whether a municipality may avail itself of T.C.A. 568-13-209(1)(A) turns on whether the municipality has financed the construction of its sewer system pursuant to S§68-13-201 et sa. T.C.A. §7-35-201, S§68-13-201 Rt seg., -209; Ops. Tenn. Atty. Gen. 88-133 (August 1, 1988), 90-92 (October 9, 1990). 91-19 CLERKS OF COURT: Criminal: There is no statutory impediment to employing persons employed on a temporary basis to fill deputy clerk positions authorized by the criminal court judge pursuant to T.C.A. S§8-20-101 through -107, but no employee, temporary or permanent, may be employed to fill a deputy position in excess of the number of positions authorized by the court.
