Docket 40505 d/b/a SKY WEST AIRLINES under section 401(j) of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958, as amended, to terminate all service at Cedar City, Utah and Page, Arizona ORDER EXTENDING REQUIREMENT TO PROVIDE AIR SERVICE On March 4, 1982, Sky West Aviation, Inc. d/b/a-Sky West Airlines filed a 90-day notice of its intent to terminate all of its service at Cedar City, Utah, and Page, Arizona, on or after May 30, 1982. By Order 82-5-102, May 20, 1982, the Board prohibited Sky West from terminating its services for 30 days, through July 2, while replacement carriers were sought. '-In addition, the Board requested that carriers interested in providing replacement service file their proposals by June 25, 1982. On June 29, at the request of Gold Coast Air, Inc., the Board extended the period for filing proposals from June 25 to July 19. Since proposals are not due until after expiration of the current hold-in period, July 2, it is clear we will be unable to select a replacement carrier before that date. Therefore, in accordance with section 419(a)(6) of the Act and acting under delegated authority, we will extend Sky West's service requirement at Cedar City and Page for an additional 30-day period, through August 2, 1982. Sky West should expect similar extensions until we are able to find a replacement carrier. ACCORDINGLY, 1. We require Sky West Aviation, Inc. d/b/a Sky West Airlines, to continue to provide essential air service as defined by Orders 79-11-26 and 79-10-203 for an additional 30-day period, through August 2, 1982, or until a fit, willing and able replacement carrier has been found by the Board to be capable of inaugurating and maintaining essential air service, whichever occurs first; and
