                      ORDER DISMISSING APPLICATIONS


On April 1, 1985, Trans World Airlines, Inc. filed an application under
Subpart Q of our Procedural Regulations for an amendment of its certifi-
cate of public convenience and necessity authorizing it to serve between
St. Louis, Missouri, and Toronto, Canada. 1/



I/ On October 22, 1982, TWA filed an application with the Civil
Teronautics  Board, requesting an exemption to operate St. Louis-Toronto
nonstop service. Answers in opposition to TWA's exemption application
were filed by American Airlines, Capitol Air, USAir and Ozark Air
Lines. The St. Louis Parties filed an answer in support of TWA's
exemption application.  No action was ever taken by the Board on TWA's
exemption application.
