The name of the company doesn't matter. Nearly every large company is issuing similar literature. It is entitled America's Fifth Freedom is Free Enterprise. It is a treatise on economic theory profusely decorated with allegorical illustrations. On one page there is a picture of a hundred-yard dash under the caption, Man Never Runs as Fast Against Time as in a Race. The conclusions drawn by the oil company read as follows: Co.apetition is the one incentive discovered so far that keeps him constantly striving to improve his products and lower his costs. On the next page the idea that the oil company is owned by large capitalists is refuted. Its real control is said to be in the hands of simple and humble folk.
