D. 1780. An Act in addition to an Act, entitled, An Act for forming and regulating the Militia, and for en- couragement of Military Skill, for the better De- fence of this State. If' H E R E A S no Penalty is annexed, in the above Act, on the non com- miffioned Oficers of the feveral Companies of Militia, in cafe they, or any of them fhould refufe, or neglect to warn any fuch Military Company to attend on mufters or other Military purpofes, when directed by his, or their fuperior Preamble. Officer. And whereas no Penalty has been affixed on any fuch non commiffioned Oficer, for neglecting or refufing to attend, fuch mufter, or meeting for fuch o- ther Military purpofe or piurpofes, when duly warned therefor, by the direction or directions of fuch fuperior Officer or Officers, Therefore B E it Enacted, and it is hereby Enacted by the Reprefentatives of the Free- men of the State of Vermont, in General Affembly met, and by the Autho- rity of the fame,That whenever any non commiffioned Officer, of any Military Company, within this State, fhall refufe or neglect to warn any part of fuch Military Company, to attend any mufters, or other renaltyfor meeting of fuch Company for Military purpofes, when thereto re- neglect. quired by Warrant, or otherwife from his fuperior Officer of fuch Com- pany, and fhall be thereof duly convicted, fhall for neglecting to warn each fuch Person, required to warn as aforefaid, forfeit and pay the furn of Six Pounds. And in cafe any fuch non commiffioned Officer, fhall neglect or refufe to attend any fuch mufter, or other meeting of fuch Company
