II. .JN 1CT to authorize the proprietors of the Hlampton Causeway Passecd June Turnpike Corporation to surrender their road. 1* . SECTION 1. -BE it enacted by the senate and house of repre- sentatives in general court convened, That the proprietors of the Hampton Causeway Turnpike Corporation are hereby authorized and empowered to relinquish and surrender their turnpike road to the towns of Hiampton and Hampton-Falls, for a valuable consideration, in order that said road may be- come a free, publick highway, in the same way and manner as if the same had been originally laid out by the selectmen of the said respective towns through which the same passes; and the said proprietors and said towni are each hereby em- powered to do and transact any thing necessary to effect the purpose aloresaid.
