A Law to alter the times of holding the Supreme A SEA (L Court in the County of Adams, and for other purpofes. B E it enaded by the Governor and Judges of the Mifippi Territory, that from and after the pafling of this law, the Supreme Court of this Territory tball be held in, and for the county of Adams, twice iii each year; and fhall commence annually on the fe-ond Mon- days of Odober and April, and may be continued by adjournments from day to day, 1o long as in the opinion of the judges thereof, the fame may be neceffary. And be it further ena(ted, that it thall be the duty of one or more of the faid judges, to attend at the tufal place of holding faid court in faid county, on the fecond Monday of the prefent mcnth, and ther and there to open faid court, in, and for the f:!d county of Adams. and then and there to receive, hear and determine, all, and all manner of canfes, fuits or ahions, as well crini- nal or pleas of the government, as civil, that are or may be by law cognizable and detcrminible in, before or by the faid court; and thcreupon to give judgment, and award execution: And all caufes, flUs and altious, as Digitized from Best Copy Available
