CHAP. I.
An Act providing for the appointment of Elec-
tors of President and Vice-President of the
United States.
Sec. 1. B~ E it enactedby the Senate and House of Rep-

That the Constables in the several towns in this State,
shall warn the electors in their respective towns to Meetings of e-

at the usual place of holding elections, or at such other
place, as may have been previously designated by an
annual town meeting, in such towns, respectively, at
nine o'clock in the morning of said day; which warn-

officer is designated by the town clerk and select-men,
the electors shall choose the presiding officer, in which
choice the town clerk, or in his absence, the eldest
select-man present, shall preside.
Sec. 3. That the electors present at such meeting,
