LALLA SHISHKEVISH RE: BEATRICE ROSENBERG AWARD DATE: FEBRUARY 17, 1994 I am pleased to inform you that our fellow Board member, Jean Bower, has been selected to receive the D.C. Bar's Beatrice Rosenberg Award for Excellence in Government Service this year. The award will be presented at the Keynote Luncheon of the D.C. Bar's Winter Convention. The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 2 from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center, 900 9th Street, N.W. The keynote speaker for the luncheon will be the Honorable Eric H. Holder, Jr., the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. ABA president-elect nominee Roberta Ramo (who will be the first female president of the ABA) will also be welcomed at the luncheon. In light of this wonderful line-up, WBA Board members might want to make a special effort to register for the luncheon. Registration forms are included in the Winter Convention registration brochure sent to all D.C. Bar members and in the latest issue of the Washington Lawyer. I also can provide forms to anyone who is interested. The cost of the luncheon is $34. I hope you can arrange your schedules so that we can congratulate Jean on March 2. Please let me know by Tuesday, February 22, if you plan to registering for the luncheon. If enough WBA Board members will be attending, we may be able to put together a table.
