SULTON RE: GRANTS COMMITTEE REPORT We have reviewed the 15 grant requests which were submitted to the WBAF for funding. 12 of the 15 requests are from the WBA, the other three are from Women Empowered Against Violence, Inc., National Association for Children of Alcoholics, and American University. The WBA grant requests total $32,335, the three others total $11,500, for a grand total of $43,835. See Attachment A. The WBAF approved direct grants of $20,000 in the annual budget. Of that amount, $12,188 has been disbursed to the following: $1688 to the WBA for the Membership Recruitment Package; $5000 to the Bazelon Center; $3500 to the WBA for the Yembership Directory; and $2000 to the WBA for the Leadership Dinner. The remaining grant dollars for this fiscal year total $7812. We recommend that these grant requests be funded at the following levels: Women Empowered Against Violence, Inc.
