In civil rights? In tax? If you are in environmental law, the Who's Who directory in this issue of the Bulletin will tell you. This insiders' guide was compiled by WBA members who identified and c-ntacted private and public sector employers in their field. We have received a very positive response to our first Directory, Health Care Law, which appeared in the December Bulletin. Of that directory, WBA president Liz Medaglia wrote: What a superb job has been done of pulling together that detailed and very useful information. Using that list, a person seeking a job or just seeking information can get to a worthwhile source of information without wasting time and risking terminal frustration or disappointment. I put my list directly with my WBA Directory. Please express my appreciation to the WBA members who obviously worked very hard on this listing, together with my feeling that the Who's Who project and lists will be of great benefit and value to the WBA. I look forward to seeing future who's who lists. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the project of your choice by completing the Who's Who form contained in this issue and returning it to the WBA office. BEING AN ATTORNEY IN THE MILITARY - THE APRIL LECTURE The April program of the Career Opportunities Committee will offer two presentations about being a lawyer for the military. Our speakers are two energetic and successful women who have risen through the ranks, and who between them have more than 26 years of experience as attorneys. Commander Patricia Gormley is the Assistant Director, Litigation Division of the Office of the Judge Advocate General, U.S. Navy. She has been a member of the D.C. Bar since 1967, and has had several tours here in Washington. Her past experience includes working as a prosecutor, defense counsel, military judge, and working on Capitol Hill. Commander Gormley will discuss the various opportunities open to attorneys who join the military. Major Joyce Peters, a litigation attorney in the Office of the Army Judge Advocate General, has been on active duty with the Army since 1972. Major Peters, who is a member of the W.B.A., currently practices as a defense attorney in civil litigation in the federal courts.
