handle is hein.peggy/wbacmii0004 and id is 1 raw text is: MINUTES ANNUAL MEETING DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS OF WOMEN'S BAR ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION May 4, 1982 The meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. In attendance were Marjorie O'Connell, Brooksley Landau, Patricia Gurne, Florence King, Pat Bailey, Jane Golden, Cory Amron, Mellie Nelson and Ann Rasenberger A motion to approve the minutes of the February 23, 1982 meeting was made and seconded, and the minutes were approved unanimously. Ms. O'Connell reported on the status of the fundraising proposal by the management consulting firm, McManis Associates, Inc. At the request of several of the directors, McManis will be sending examples of its work product and additional informa- tion about the firm to all Directors and Officers by the May 19 meeting. There will be a meeting of the Directors and Officers on May 19 to vote on whether to enter into a contract with the McManis firm. There was a brief discussion of how the Foundation would arrange to pay the consulting firm's fee. Ms. O'Connell requested Ms. Rasenberger to confirm that the amendments to the ByLaws proposed at the February 23rd meeting had received sufficient affirmative votes for adoption. Ms. O'Connell then reported on several of the Foundation's ongoing projects. She noted that Liz Medaglia is in the process of procuring a bulk mail permit for the Foundation but had not spoken to Ms. Medaglia recently about the status of that endeavor. Ms. O'Connell also discussed Grace Monaco's efforts towards setting up a law firm fellowship program. Pat Gurne reported on the status of her efforts to obtain insurance and bonding for the Foundation. She noted that this is not a presSing -matter and advised that the Foundation should wait until it has received additional funds before proceeding further. Ms. O'Connell reported that she and Jane Golden are drafting a thank-you letter which will be sent to all persons who have made unsolicited contributions to the Foundation.
