              COMMITTEE AND FORUM CO-CHAIR MEETING
                               February  7,2002

                                  MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at approximately 12:3 3 p.m. In attendance were Ellen
Jakovic (President-elect), Jennifer Duane (Secretary), Gracemarie Maddalena (Career
Development  Committee), Tracy Durkin (Intellectual Property Law Forum), Rebecca
McNeill (Intellectual Property Law Forum), Natalia Geren (International Law Forum),
Sarah Nappi (International Law Forum), Susan Kovarovics (International Law Forum),
Evangeline Paschal  (Judicial Endorsements), Sheryl Flum (Government  Attorneys
Forum), Susan Kimmel  (Communications Law Forum) and Kimberly Knight (Executive
Director).

I. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT (Kimberly Knight)

*  Kim  reported that the WBA has completed its move to its new office location at 1717
   K  Street, NW.  The new phone  system is in place and operating. Notice of the
   WBA's   move and the new address will be sent out to members shortly. Kim invited
   the co-chairs to stop by to see the new space.

H. TREASURER'S REPORT (Marjorie Burnett)

*  Ellen reported that Marjorie was unable to make the meeting but she had asked Ellen
   to relay the information that the co-chairs are doing a great job in getting their
   program budgets to Heidi and Marjorie for review and urged them to continue to do
   so.

III. PRESIDENT'S   REPORT (Ellen   Jakovic - President-elect)

*  Ellen indicated that Deb was tied up in a deposition and in preparation for an
   upcoming trial and would be unable to make the meeting. She would preside over the
   meeting in Deb's absence.

*  Judicial Reception - Ellen noted that the Judicial Reception has attracted several law
   firms and companies as sponsors, but additional sponsorships could always be used.
   Efforts to have Condoleeza Rice speak at the reception fell through due to scheduling
   conflicts. Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is expected to make some remarks.

*  Annual  Dinner - The WBA  is hoping to have Condoleeza Rice speak at its Annual
   Dinner through contacts that WBA Board member  Joanne Young  has in the Bush
   administration. Mary Jo White  and Rudy Guiliani are also being considered as
