To amend title 1 0, Tiite(d States Code, to authorize trial by military
commission for violations of the law of war, and for other purposes.

Mr. IITNTER (for himself and Mr. SENSENBRENNER) introduced the follow ing
bill; which was referred to the Committee on Arimed Services, and in ad-
dition to the Conmmittees on the Judiciary and Intermational Relations,
for a period to be subsequiently determinied by the Speaker, in each case
for consideration of such provisions as fail within the jurisdiction of the
committee concerned

To amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize trial
by military commission for violations of the law of war,
and for other purposes.
1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
2 tires of the Utited States of America in Congress assumbld,
3 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; TABLE OF CONTENTS.
4 (a) SIIORT TITLE.-This Act may be cited as the
5 MilitaN Commissions Act of 2006.
