Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the residential United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) section 5 ransition Act of the Presidential Transition Act of 1963 (3 U.S.C. 102 note) is F 1963, amended to read as follows: mendments. SEC. 5. There are hereby authorized to be appropriated to the ppropriation athorization. Administrator such funds as may be necessary for carrying out the pur- poses of this Act, except that with respect to any one Presidential transition- (1) not more than $2,000,000 may be appropriated for the purposes of providing services and facilities to the President-elect and Vice President-elect under section 3, and (2) not more than $1,000,000 may be appropriated for the purposes of providing services and facilities to the former Presi- dent and former Vice President under section 4. The President shall include in the budget transmitted to Congress, for each fiscal year in which his regular term of office will expire, a pro- posed appropriation for carrying out the purposes of this Act. USC 102 (b) Section 3(a) (3) of the Presidential Transition Act of 1963 is tote. amended by striking out at rates not to exceed $100 per diem for individuals. SEC. 2. Section 3 (a) (2) of the Presidential Transition Act of 1963 is amended by striking out or nonreimbursable. ,ffective SEc. 3. The amendment made by the first section of this Act shall late. take effect on- 3 USC 102 (1) the date of the enactment of this Act, or note. (2) October 1, 1976, whichever is later.
