Emphasis on unity during the European energy transition has once again highlighted the stark differences in energy frameworks between France and Germany, especially concerning nuclear energy regulations. Both countries-and the wider European energy market-must recognize that nuclear energy is neither a scourge nor a silver bullet. By implementing both nuclear and other green energy regulations that account for national governing structures, create a tiered system for energy production prioritization, and foster diversified energy markets, nuclear energy laws can be an effective part of a wider European green energy framework.
