Mr. Stege earned his JD. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1968, and he practiced law with Ohio Legal Services for ten years before beginning a long career of private practice in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The proudest moment of his fifty-year career was successfully developing, framing, briefing, and arguing the landmark constitutional case Moore v. City of East Cleveland In this and in other ways, Mr. Stege showed his devotion to social justice and dedication to equal justice before the law. We deeply regret that Mr. Stege's article could not appear in this issue as planned. His passing was a deep loss to the legal community of Cleveland and the wider community of legal scholarship.
