For any member still holding an Association preference sheet, it's now or never. Committees are now being appointed. Payin' Those Dues Dues bills were mailed out May 1. Members are urged to pay promp- tly to save the Association the postage expense of reminders and tc keep the records straight. Use the Telecopier Members, remember to take advan- tage of the telecopier in the Down- town Headquarters. Telecopier rates are $3 per page, letter size (8 1/2 x 11) and $4 per page legal size (8 1/2 x 14). Golf Outing Set The annual Golf Outing this year will be held Friday, June 30 at the Crystal Lake Country Club. Mark your calendar now for this important date, but do not call about registration or tee-off times yet. This information will be available in the weeks to come. f Workmen's Compensation Plans May Meeting An outstanding guest will ad- dress the Workmen's Compensation Committee luncheon meeting Thursday, May 18 at 12:15 p.m. in Downtown Headquarters. Ms. Carol L. Fleschute, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Work- er's Compensation Program in Kansas City which is in charge of the Long- shore Act, will review the jurisdic- tional extensions of the Longshore Act since the 1972 ammendments and review the manner of assessing per- manent partial disability from neck and back injuries. Immediate Past-Chairman Ed Renner welcomes New Zealander R. Jonathan Ellis to the meeting (above) while Ellis's friend Robert J. Eck looks on. Bar to Hold Enrollment Ceremony Plans are under way for the Spring Enrollment Ceremony to be held May 11 at Downtown Headquarters. Invitations have gone to 71 new lawyers who have passed the Missouri Bar. The ceremony begins at 6 p.m. in the Blackstone Room. New Lawyers will have the opportunity to sign the book and be admitted to the Missouri Court of Appeals - St. Louis District, the St. Louis Circuit Court and the St. Louis County Circuit Court. After the enrollment ceremony there will be a buffet dinner for the new lawyers, their spouses, guests and family at a cost of $6.90 per person. Members are welcome to attend by making reservations at 421-4134. Night at LaBoheme You won't want to miss a Night at La Boheme, at the Loretta Hilton theater June 6, sponsored by the Cultural Activities Committee. The Puccini classic, first performed in 1896, will be accompanied by a magnificient dinner of French cuisine served on the grounds in an open-air tent with a glass of wine for that La Boheme mood setting. The dinner package, featuring chicken in champagne and rice, watercress salad, crescents, Vegetable and Petits Fours, costs $15.50 and includes a cocktail, parking and an opportunity to meet the cast after the perfor- mance. The ticket price is $12 for the opera, which will begin at 8 p.m. sharp. La Boheme is considered to be the greatest opera ever written and has not been performed in St. Louis for 12 years. La Boheme concerns the struggling life of artists in the Latin quarter of Paris spiced by the dramatic romance of Rodolfao, the poet, and Mimi, a desperately ill peasant girl.
