We noted the possibility of such a delay in our last issue, and as promised, we will be back on track as soon as possible. You can expect publication of our Winter 1988-89 issue in the very near future. If all goes as planned, you will receive all of Volume 17 before the end of Septem- ber. A journal such as this depends on its Editorial Board for con- siderable support. When first constituted, the current Board repre- sented what we considered to be a broad spectrum of specialties in the policy studies field. Each member of the Board has been a con- tributor to the peer review process central to the Board's mission, and we are very grateful for their support. Over time, however, we've overburdened some Board members while underutilizing others. In addi- tion, we found ourselves making constant use of a number of other colleagues who were not originally on the Board, but whose expertise and inability to say no made them highly exploitable for the peer review process. As a result, we felt it is time to make some changes on the PSJ Editorial Board. Our personal thanks to those who are leaving the Board, although we should warn you that we expect you to serve as loyal Board alumni. Also, a red carpet welcome to our new Board members who, for the most part, have already been doing their share of the peer review work. * * * * We are experimenting with the new technology again, this time as a means for improving communications between the PSJ and those who have submitted manuscripts.
