Demonstrating just what a popular channel for publication the OUCLJ has become in its relatively short life, we are delighted to bring you a bumper issue featuring a wide range of subjects from throughout the Commonwealth. The arrival of a new volume also marks the transition ofthe OUCLJ's editorship from one board to another. It is therefore the perfect time for the outgoing General Editor to thank those who have helped make running the Journal a (relatively) stress-free experience. This includes not only the members of this year's editorial board, but also those members of the Oxford Law Faculty and Hart Publishing who have helped guide me through the world of academic Journal publishing, those authors who have submitted their work and those many anonymous referees who liav e helped ensure that the published papers are ofthe very highest standard. In particular, I'd like to record my debt to Barbara Darling, Laura Hoyano, Sandra Meredith and Aparna Rao, who have all been a constant source of advice and assistance.
