The ARRA contained clauses which made some stimulus spending at the sub-federal level conditional on the purchase of US goods and services. While certainly not a novel American response, the restrictive provisions of the ARRA attracted much Canadian attention. This paper examines the current status of Canadian sub-federal procurement law, in light of agreements reached between Canada and the US in response to the ARRA.
