When walking through the west entrance of the U.S. Supreme Court, we are reminded of one of the founding ideals of the American judiciary: all persons should receive Equal Justice Under Law.2 Achieving this lofty objective, however, has always posed challenges to the legal profession.3 This symposium provides a forum to discuss how to provide equal justice for millions of Americans for whom it remains unattainable.
