They have asked us to reduce the amount of our copy. We have decided to omit the Editorial unless a subject of unusual importance requires comment. The acknowledgement of 'contemporaries received' will also be suspended. While we will continue to do our best to present the printers with fully corrected copy some amendments to galley proofs are inevitable. Contributors are asked to keep such alterations to a minimum.
