Our committee's mandate is to provide resources and opportunities for professional growth to those section members in the early years or on the cusp of their legal careers. Traditionally, this is done through providing opportunities for talent development and networking. Message from the Committee Chairs Mansi Karol and J. Brian Johns The last year has witnessed rapid changes in dispute resolution and the greater legal field. The ubiquity of virtual hearings, innovations in technology, and an increased willingness to engage in arbitration, mediation, and facilitation to avoid the ever-growing backlog of civil case dockets before domestic courts in unlikely to soon abate. The new frontier of legal practice is ripe with opportunities for young and innovative practitioners and the committee is happy to offer a series of articles by our members highlighting recent developments in dispute resolution. In the coming year, we hope to increase the opportunities offered by the Young Professionals Committee.
