handle is hein.journals/jquantc6 and id is 1 raw text is: Journal of Quantitative Criminology, Vol. 6, No. 1, 1990 From the Editor Volume 6 opens with the first stop on the Journal of Quantitative Criminology world tour of quantitative criminology. It is our plan to bring to the readership a special issue on quantitative research in various parts of the globe on a schedule of one issue every 2 to 3 years. I do believe that this first installment, specifically on Swedish quantita- tive criminology, most successfully accomplishes the objective of broadening our quantitative horizons. Professor Wikstrom has done an excellent job in assembling a stimulating set of papers. With the start of a new volume, the composition of our editorial board must change. I am pleased to welcome two new board members, Michael G. Maxfield and William Rhodes, and, at the same time, am sad to lose two board members, James Garofalo and Stephen Gottfredson, who have been with us from the start. I thank both of them for their help over the years, as I thank the entire board for their important role in the successes of the Journal of Quantitative Criminology. Individually, I also acknowledge my associate editors, William Bowers, John Laub, and Paul Tracy; my editorial assistant, Ellen Neuman; and my production manager at Plenum, James Langlois, for their tireless efforts.
