His most recent book is Collective Violence (with Lynne Snowden; Allyn & Bacon), and hit forthcoming books include a criminal justice text (with George Bryjak; Allyn & Bacon), the second edition of a criminology text (Prentice Hall), and an introduction to sociology text (Wadsworth). His recent journal articles include papers on racial prejudice and punitiveness and on race and political participation. Jennifer L. Bryan is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at Yale University. While a McNair scholar at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ she completed a B.A. in Administration of Justice. She has been published in Crime, Law and Social Change and the American Journal of Criminal Justice. Mary Ann Farkas is Assistant Professor of Criminology and Law Studies and Director of the Administration of Justice Graduate Program at Marquette University. She holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Her research centers on legal, social, and community strategies to manage sex offenders, corrections, and women working in the criminal justice system. Her recent publications include articles in Behavioral Science and the Law, Women and Criminal Justice, The International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Therapy, and The Journal of Criminal Justice. David Giacopassi is Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Memphis. He is the author of numerous journal articles with his major research interest in studying how change in law affects society. Galan M. Janeksela is a professor in the School of Social and Community Services, and Dean of the College of Health and Human Services at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He previously served as Director of the Administration of Justice Program at Wichita State University. Prior to serving as Director, he was Chairperson of the Department of Administration of Justice at the same institution. He holds a Ph.D. in
