handle is hein.journals/jculp7 and id is 1 raw text is: Introduction We are pleased to publish the seventh volume of the Journal of Comparative Urban Law and Policy, a publication of the Center for the Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth at Georgia State University College of Law. The Journal has achieved remarkable success since launching in May 2017 and is read in 202 countries and regions around the world. This issue contains comparative research articles written by participants of the thirteenth Study Space Program held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, June 16-21, 2024. The theme of the program was Creating Resilient Cities: Disaster Preparedness, Climate Change Adaptation and Public Health Responses. We thank our partner and friend, Romulo Sampaio, for his immense help in planning the Study Space Rio de Janeiro Program and creating a productive forum for scholarly discussions on this important topic. We also thank Henrique Borges, Daniel Dias, Luiz Loques, Iasmini Nardi, and Ana Beatriz Cruz for their help with planning, organization, and logistics. We would also like to thank our graduate research assistant, Courtney Simone Graves, for all of her work planning and organizing every aspect of this program and for her assistance with the journal. Study Space is a weeklong workshop organized by the Center for the Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth at Georgia State University College of Law. The workshop brings together scholars and practitioners from around the world to study critical issues facing metropolitan regions. It is held in a different city each time, providing an opportunity for comparative learning, knowledge sharing, collaborative problem solving, and global networking. Articles will be published in this issue as they are received, as opposed to our past approach of publishing the entire issue at one time after all articles were received. We hope you enjoy this issue of comparative urban law and policy articles.
