The addition of two issues (March and September) will enable JCR to respond to (a) the steady increase in the number of individual manuscripts submitted for review and (b) the continued submission of numerous special issue proposals on a regular basis. As Editor of JCR, my overriding focus will remain on publishing high-quality work that significantly advances basic research on a broad range of topics related to the study of conflict and its resolution. As a result, the acceptance rate for manuscripts submitted to JCR will remain steady in line with historical averages of 9 to 10 percent, while I will also continue to look to publish one or two special issues per year.
