Given the prominence of social media and direct-to-consumer health content, the flow of medical information- and misinformation1-is as pervasive as it is persuasive.2 Anyone with a smartphone can influence public opinion on health,3 and once false information enters the information ecosystem, it spreads faster and farther than the truth.4 Social media platforms, particularly those * Leah R.
