Some of these misprints unfortunately preclude a correct under- standing of Grotius' text, which is, in our opinion, already difficult enough as it stands. We therefore herewith offer the correct text of these passages, together with two addenda to our notes on the introduction, which we think contribute to a better understanding of the history of the reception of the Disquisitio (cf. Grotiana N.S. 8 (1987), p. 50 with n. 27).
