The articles were prepared specially for the University of Pennsylvania Asian Law Review, and address key topics of current and lasting importance in Chinese administrative law. Most of the articles are revised and updated versions of papers that were first presented at a symposium on The Future of Administrative Law in China, held at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, with support from the Law School, Penn's Center for the Study of Contemporary China, the Penn Program on Regulation, the Floersheimer Center for Constitutional Democracy at Cardozo Law School, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Additional articles were solicited for this issue to provide greater breadth and depth of coverage.
