According to the mission of CESL we brought international experts to Beijing to discuss with deans of law schools from China and abroad about these challenges. CESL is about legal education, CESL is about a platform for China EU legal research, and does for these purposes publish this China EU Law Journal and a newly established China EU Law Series for books. CESL is furthermore about training professionals which we do in a highly appreciated collaboration with the Judges and Prosecutors Colleges and Lawyers Associations; and which we offer in plenty of other events, which have as a main characteristic bringing together Chinese and EU legal scholars and professionals. We work in CESL on transboundary and common legal issues and problems, further exchange and the dissemination of knowledge. And we focus on disseminating knowledge about international law, European law and comparative law in China, and about Chinese law and legal culture in Europe.' The conference was therefore a mix of international perspectives and benchmarks and a focus on the present state of Chinese legal education. It is un-mistakenly the About CESL: www.cesl.edu.cn.
