A review was peL'orLed of the audit report of the
Veterans of For.oign Wars of the United States, Office of the
Quartermaster General, for the year ended August 31, 1977, to
determine whether the report complied with financial reporting
requirements fox federally chartered corporatimns.
Findings/Conclustons: The audit report vas prepared by a firs of
certified public accountants. It incladed a statement of the
scope of audit and the auditurms opinion that the financial
statfmeents presented fairly the financial poition of the
organization at August 31, 1977, and the results of operations
and changes in fund balances for the year then enle4, in
conformity with qenerally accepted accounting principles applied
on a basis consistent with the preceding year. The audit and
financial reporting requirements of the chartering legislation
