The amendment is as follows: Strike all after the enacting clause and insert the following: SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the No Federal Expansion Designation in West Texas Act or the No FED in West Texas Act. SEC. 2. IMPLEMENTATION OF LAND PROTECTION PLAN FOR MULESHOE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE PROHIBITED. The Secretary of the Interior may not finalize, implement, administer, or enforce the Land Protection Plan described in the document published by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service titled Final Land Protection Plan & Environmental As- sessment Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge (February 2023). PURPOSE OF THE LEGISLATION The purpose of H.R. 839 is to prohibit the implementation of a Land Protection Plan for Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge. 69-006
