What: Meeting of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, an independent, bipartisan agency charged with monitoring and protecting civil rights WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights has assembled a panel of experts to discuss the frequent allegations of voter fraud and intimidation that have questioned federal and state elections in recent years. Purported incidents of voter fraud have concerned non-citizens voting, eligible voters casting two or more ballots or impersonating other voters and other types of fraud. Claims of voter intimidation have involved officials purportedly challenging voters in minority areas with requests for identification and providing incorrect information on voter eligibility.
