State Bar Hosts Officials, Legislators & Spouses

    The Wyoming State Bar hosted a
dinner at the Hitching Post Inn, Chey-
enne, Wyoming on January 6, 1979, for
Governor Herschler, elected officials
of the Wyoming State Government,
the members of the 45th Wyoming Leg-
islature and their spouses.
    The dinner was well attended by
both members of the Legislature and
officers and members of the Wyoming
State Bar. The assembled guests were
entertained by Dr. Joseph A. Devine,
a Cheyenne dentist and noted after-
dinner speaker. Neither the lawyers or
the legislators were immune from Joe's
penetrating and humorous dialogue.


Willis   Geer Elected
Prosecutors' Prexy

    Willis Geer was recently elected
President of the Wyoming County and
Prosecuting Attorneys Association.
    Elected Vice-President was Burton
W. Guetz of Casper. Bryan Sharratt
of Wheatland was chosen Secretary
and Larry Lehman of Evanston was
elected Treasurer.

Swan Is Appointed
Land Commissioner
    Oscar Swan, former Deputy State
Land Commissioner, has been appoint-
ed by Governor Herschler to succeed
A. E. King as state land commissioner.
    Patrick J. Quealy of Kemmerer
was reappointed to the University of
Wyoming  Board of Trustees.
    Harry Leimback of Casper was ap-
pointed to succeed Mayne Miller on the
Wyoming  Community   Development
Authority.
    Willis C. Geer of Gillette and Hun-
ter Patrick of Powell have been appoint
ed to the Judicial Planning Committee.
The men replaced Honorable Robert B.
Ranck of Jackson and Arnold Tshirgi
of Lander.
