Tober, a partner with the Portsmouth law firm of Aeschliman and Tober, was installed as the New Hampshire Bar Association President for 1988-89 dur- ing the Bar's Annual Meeting Banquet on June 25, 1988. Tober was presented with a gavel by outgoing President Philip R. Waystack, Jr. during the Saturday evening event. The full text of President Stephen L. Matthew Epstein, Lawyers Assistance Committee Earn President's Awards Chief Justice Brock Delivers Annual Address to Bar As one of the highlights of the New Hampshire Bar's 1988 Annual Meeting, Philip R. Waystack, Jr. announced his selection of Concord attorney Matthew S. Epstein and the Association's Lawyers Assis- tance Committee as recipients of the Presi- dent's Award for Distinguished Service. 7J Concord attorney and the Bar Association's Legis- lative Representative Matthew S. Epstein Is con- gratulated by Philip R. Waystack, Jr. for being selected to receive the President's Award for Di&- tinguished Service. Waystack presented the President's Awards in front of a large crowd of Bench and Bar members who attended the Annual Meeting in Bretton Woods. Noting the countless hours of service volunteered by Bar Legislative Representa- tive Epstein and by members of the Lawyers Assistance Committee, Waystack compli- mented the award recipients for making New Hampshire a better place to practice law. President's Award for Distinguished Service Presented to Matthew S. Epstein Epstein, who is a partner with Epstein, Burke, Macintosh and Devito in Concord, has provided exemplary and distinguished service for the past four years as the New Hampshire Bar Association's Legislative Representative. He recently announced his retirement from this demanding position in order to spend more time with his family, although he will remain active as an advisor to Bar leaders and as Chair of the newly created Assigned Counsel Fees Committee.
