Paquette Wayne State University Law School Detroit, Michigan This issue will serve to introduce the new editor of your newsletter, give you some idea as to the future of the newsletter and its content and to ask for your suggestions. My name is Russell M. Paquette and I am currently an Assistant Dean at Wayne State University Law School. I have been actively engaged in real property law matters in the State of Michigan by virtue of my previous position as District Counsel for the Veteran Administration. I have been involved with, and taken, some of your fine programs and hope that in some small way I can contribute to their continued success. The previous editor of this publication, the late Prof. Frank S. Sengstock, was a respected member of the Bar and recognized expert in the field of property law. He was also a close personal friend of your new editor and I deem it a signal honor that your council has requested that I continue his efforts. I would welcome any suggestions as to content and if you desire to submit an article for the newsletter, I would be only too happy to work with you. In my opinion the newsletter should be a professional publication, your publication, and helpful to the members of the Bar in their everyday practice. I think that it should serve as a vehicle to keep you apprised of those developments in the practice of law in this state which not only affect real property law but also those matters which are of general interest to all of us as lawyers in Michigan. By this time you have received the special notice put out by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education concerning the Seminar to be conducted at the Bay Valley Inn, Bay City, Michigan on June 10, 11, & 12. The program was outlined in detail in the special notice and will also be included in a brochure soon to be mailed by ICLE. If you have not already done so, I would urge you to make your reservations at Bay Valley since the program is well worth your time and effort. This issue of the newsletter will be necessarily short since we have so little time to go to press before the Bay Valley Seminar. I hope to meet as many of you as possible at the Seminar.
