The information included in this publication should be used in place of the listings included in the first section of the AALS Directory of Law Teachers or the original offprint, which was sent to schools in November, 2005. Schools that are members of the Association of American Law Schools are included in the first list of schools. The second list includes non-member fee-paid schools. The third list contains Canadian schools. Member schools are also designated by (AALS) next to the school name with the date of their admission to membership. Charter Members, are those schools that became members at the founding of the Association in 1900. An asterisk following the name of a teacher in the List by School indicates affiliation with another school in addition to the one under which the name appears. Each teacher is listed under the school of his or her permanent affiliation. An asterisk would indicate that the teacher either is teaching at more than one school or is visiting at another school for all or part of the current academic year. Reference to that person's biographical sketch in the Directory of Law Teachers will disclose the school at which he or she is currently located.
